December Membership Meeting

holiday ornamentsOne of the biggest events on the annual SPSW calendar is our annual holiday dinner. This is a potluck event, and the food is always great. Also, each year, we purchase gift certificates or high-quality turning tools from the many vendors that support all of us through the year. We also will be buying some $800 worth of excellent bowl blanks and other wood. All of this will be given away to members attending this event. DON’T MISS IT!!!

For those that want to get started planning what food you will bring to the December potluck, we will change it up a little this time. So…

  • If your last name starts with A – I: Please bring a dessert
  • If your last name starts with J – S: Please bring Salad or chips
  • If your last name starts with T – Z : Please bring a main dish or vegetable

November Membership Meeting

This month, our own David Best, will show us 4 different methods for turning hollow forms. Dave will hollow a large vessel in multiple steps using different systems for each layer as he goes deeper into the form. There are a lot of systems out there, and this will be a great chance for all of us to see how these different tools compare to each other, as well as seeing the advantages of each.
