On March 18th, the South Puget Sound Woodturners will be very pleased to offer John Jordan as our March demonstrator. John is an acclaimed woodturner who has his work represented in private and corporate collections as well as 30+ museums, including the Smithsonian and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Between seminars and demonstrations, John has taught thousands of people to turn wood. John is especially well known for his designs, carved surfaces, and texturing. You will see all of this during John’s demonstration. You can check out some of John’s work on his website, johnjordanwoodturning.com.
Please join us for this Zoom-based demonstration, which will start at 7:00 PM PST on March 18th. The Zoom meeting will open at 6:30 PM. for log in and conversation.

February’s Remote Demo: For our February Zoom meeting, we are again partnering with our friends in the Woodturners of Olympia (WOO) to present Harvey Meyer, who is a nationally recognized woodturner. Harvey is well known for his intricate “basketry illusion” enhancements on platters, bowls, and hollow forms. These designs are often inspired by the patterns on American Indian baskets.
On January 21st, we are honored to again host Lyle Jamieson, who was our very first remote demonstrator last April. We were very happy to have chosen Lyle as our first remote demonstrator because, in addition to being a great teacher, he also helped us to work through the process of getting set up to utilize the Zoom Meetings platform.
